The Correspondence Courses offer Summer Schooling as part of their in-person instruction. This academic year, following an orientation on August 4, schooling classes, including physical education and laboratory experiments, were held. Period I (August 5–10) and Period II (August 12–17) took place at the Hiyoshi Campus, while Period III (August 19–24) was held at the Mita Campus. Approximately 1,400 students from the Correspondence Courses participated in each of the three periods.

On August 15, a Shinzo Koizumi Memorial Lecture was delivered by Toshiaki Ushijima, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Commerce, titled "The Management of Decline: The Decline of the Coal Industry and the Community in Postwar Japan." On August 22, a special lecture titled "Gakumon no susume (An Encouragement of Learning)" was given by President Kohei Ito. Both events were attended by many students from the Correspondence Courses.

During this period, students of a wide range of ages from all over the country gathered to deepen their learning, and each campus was bustling with activity.
