■ President Itoh Delivers Lecture at Northwestern University
On September 11, 2023, Keio University President Itoh, accompanied by Vice-President Tsuchiya, visited Northwestern University. President Itoh gave a lecture at the Northwestern Roberta Buffett Institute for Global Affairs, titled "State-of-the-art Applications of Quantum Computing," in which he introduced Keio's research on quantum computing algorithms and software, and discussed the future prospects of quantum computing in the fields of science and industry. Before the lecture, President Itoh and Vice-President Tsuchiya visited the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, with which the Keio Graduate School of Business Administration has long had exchanges, and also met with representatives from the Feinberg School of Medicine. Finally, they also had a meeting with Northwestern University President Michael Schill to discuss the future expansion of exchanges between the two universities.
■ President Itoh Delivers Lecture at the Hudson Institute
On September 12, President Itoh, accompanied by Vice-President Tsuchiya, visited the Hudson Institute. President Itoh gave a lecture titled “Quantum Computing and Avenues for US-Japanese Cooperation,” in which he discussed the importance of quantum computing in the US-Japan relationship and how it could pave the way for future cooperation between the two countries.
