The 105th National High School Baseball Championship (Summer Koshien) will kick off on Sunday, August 6. The tournament draw was held on Thursday, August 3, and it was decided that the Keio Senior High School Baseball Club will play against Hokuriku High School from Fukui Prefecture in the third game (scheduled to start at 1:10 p.m.) on the sixth day of the tournament, Friday, August 11 (a national holiday).
On Monday, July 31, Manager Mori and members of the baseball club visited the Kanagawa Prefectural Government Office, Yokohama City Hall, the Asahi Shimbun Yokohama General Bureau, the Kanagawa Shimbun, and Television Kanagawa (tvk).
During their courtesy visit to Kanagawa Governor Yuji Kuroiwa, Keio Senior High School Vice Principal Shudo reported the results of the prefectural tournament, and Manager Mori introduced the team. Captain Omura declared, "Our goal is to be the best in Japan, and we will definitely bring the championship flag back to Kanagawa." He added, "We are proud to represent Kanagawa, and we want to play with our best smiles, feeling happy and grateful to everyone who has supported us." Governor Kuroiwa, concerned about the players' health as they compete in the scorching heat, encouraged them by saying, "I truly hope to share the joy of victory with you at Koshien."
We appreciate your support.
