Basic Policy on Measures to Prevent COVID-19 Infections from May 8, 2023

As of May 8, COVID-19 has been reclassified as a Class 5 Infectious Disease under the Act on the Prevention of Infectious Diseases.

Accordingly, Keio University ended COVID-19-related practices and infection prevention measures on May 7, with the exception of its medical-related departments and institutions.

◆ What to do if you test positive for COVID-19

If you test positive for COVID-19, please visit the Keio University Health Center website and submit a"report for infectious diseases."No report is necessary if you are merely a close contact of someone who has tested positive.

◆ Preventing infections from spreading through organized activities of student clubs, research groups, laboratories, etc.

If multiple members of a student organization or club test positive for COVID-19 within the same timeframe, there is a possibility that a cluster infection took place. Should this occur, the person in charge of the organization should contact and consult with the Keio University Health Center.

These same measures also apply for seasonal influenza or other similar infectious diseases.

◆ Reporting to the Keio University Health Center and the "Permission of Return to Campus Interview"

After submitting a report to the Keio University Health Center, please contact the Health Center and undergo a "Permission of Return to Campus Interview" before returning to the university.
