On Thursday, March 9, the 2022 President's Award (affiliated schools) ceremony was held at the Kitadate Hall on Mita Campus.
The President's Award (affiliated schools) aims to widely publicize and honor Keio students who, outside of their regular curriculum, have made exemplary achievements in a wide range of fields, including academics, arts, social activities, cultural activities, and sports activities. These accomplishments are not only an honor for the individuals themselves but also bring great distinction to Keio University.
The award ceremony began with a review of the selection process by Keita Yamauchi, Vice-President and chairman of the selection committee. This was followed by the presentation of certificates and commemorative gifts by President Kohei Ito, who also gave his congratulatory remarks. Afterward, a commemorative photo was taken.
The event was held with strict infection control measures in place, and was attended by the parents and guardians of the Keio students. After the commemorative photo, a social gathering was held, and the venue was filled with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The recipients and the reasons for their awards are as follows.
Senior High School, 3rd Year, Kai Imaizumi
Winner of the Excellence Award in the High School Student Division of the 5th Statistical Data Analysis Competition
Senior High School, 3rd Year, Takumi Takeshima
Passed the Certified Public Accountant Examination
Senior High School, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Year, Tennis Club, 5 members
1st Place in the Men's Team Competition at the 2022 Kanto High School Tennis Tournament
Keio Shonan Fujisawa Junior and Senior High School, 6th Year, Kurumi Ishikawa
Received 24 awards in 23 competitions in 2022 for literary activities, primarily in tanka poetry
Chutobu Junior High School, 3rd Year, Rin Matsuda
① 50th Kanto Junior High School Track and Field Championships, Girls' 3rd Year 100m Dash, 1st Place
② 49th All-Japan Junior High School Track and Field Championships, Girls' 100m Dash, 7th Place
In addition, regarding sports, sports clubs belonging to the Athletic Association at the high schools of the affiliated schools are also eligible for the Koizumi Sports Award and the Koizumi Sports Endeavor Award, and many Keio students received these awards in fiscal year 2022. (The award certificates are presented at each affiliated school.)
