On Friday, March 17, President Yoon Suk Yeol of the Republic of Korea visited the Mita Campus and delivered a lecture titled "The Future Generation of Korea and Japan - President Yoon Suk Yeol speaks with students about the future".
Following a welcome address by Keio University President, Kohei Itoh, President Yoon took the stage and spoke to an audience of about 150 students, including exchange students from South Korea. In his speech, President Yoon said he had been looking forward to meeting the future generation of students and emphasized the importance of active, cross-cultural exchanges between the youths of Japan and Korea. He called on students to be courageous in building a brighter future.
After which, President Yoon answered questions submitted by students under the moderation of Professor Junya Nishino of the Faculty of Law. President Yoon thoroughly answered questions on a diverse range of topics, including the outlook for Japan-Korea relations, how both sides should cooperate, and his hopes for students. The students in attendance listened intently to every word of the President.
