Two Athletic Association Baseball Team Members Selected in the NPB Draft

On Thursday, October 20, the NPB draft was held, and the following two members of the Athletic Association baseball team were selected.

Masaya Hagio (outfielder, 4th year, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies) - Yomiuri Giants, 2nd round pick

Tatsuya Hashimoto (pitcher, 4th year, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies) - Yokohama DeNA BayStars, 5th round pick

Following last year, a press conference was held online to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The drafted players appeared on stage with Manager Tetsuya Horii and spoke about their joy at being selected and their aspirations for the future.

Additionally, in this year's draft, Keio University alumni Ginji Hasebe (pitcher, 2021 graduate of the Faculty of Policy Management) was also selected by the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in the sixth round.
