Keio University is working to provide a place for displaced Ukrainian students who have been deprived of their rights to an education by recent events. The program is a collaboration with Pathways Japan (PJ) and the Japan ICU Foundation (JICUF) called the "Academic Support Program for Displaced Ukrainian Students." Keio is pleased to announce that four students have been accepted through this program.
Participants in this program will initially be admitted as visiting international students. However, after a preparation period of 6 to 12 months, those who pass entrance examinations and become a regular student within a master's program offered through one of Keio University's Graduate Schools may continue to receive aid for academic fees and expenses, living costs, and dormitory fees for up to three years while they complete their master's degree.
As the situation in Ukraine develops, Keio University will endeavor to engage in various activities, such as raising public awareness and support, to assist displaced students.
