On April 1, 2022, Keio University officially established the Center for Quality Assurance in Higher Learning.
The center will carry out the following initiatives, with the aim of contributing to Keio University's advancement and the success of its mission in society in its capacity as a comprehensive academic institution. These initiatives will involve promoting education, learning assessment, and improvement activities, as well as quality assurance and further enhancements to education and learning at Keio University.
Planning, implementing, or supporting projects to assure and improve the quality of education and learning at the university
Evaluating and verifying the educational content and outcomes of the university's undergraduate and graduate level programs while offering support for further improvement in these areas
Planning and implementing cross-organizational educational projects at undergraduate and graduate levels
R&D and promoting the dissemination of new selection methods, educational methodologies, and learning support systems, ranging from admissions criteria through curriculum development and degree conferral
Collecting, analyzing, and organizing internal and external information about Institutional Research (IR) on education and learning
Disseminating information on surveys and research relating to higher education as a whole, as well as the outcomes thereof, to the public
Other programming that is necessary to achieving the center's the stated objectives
In conjunction with the above center, the Office for Quality Assurance in Higher Learning was also established on April 1.
