Multiple students have tested positive for COVID-19 after attending a large gathering and related after-parties, mainly for graduates of Keio University's affiliated high schools, held on Coming of Age Day on January 10, 2022.

To prevent the spread of infection, the Keio University COVID-19 Task Force has identified all students who participated in these large gatherings involving food and drink as equivalent to close contacts. These students have been notified to self-isolate for 10 days and to comply with the same precautions as those stipulated for close contacts by public health centers. We are currently taking all possible measures to prevent the further spread of infection.

We ask for your understanding and consideration in respecting the human rights and protecting the personal information of the infected students and all related parties.

Keio University has been raising awareness among students to prevent the spread of infection, and we will continue to work in cooperation with public health centers to alert our students, faculty, and staff and make every effort to prevent any further spread.
