On Thursday, July 29, a groundbreaking ceremony for the H (Eta) Village Student Dormitory Project (tentative name) was held at the planned construction site.

The ceremony was attended by Keio University officials, including President Kohei Ito, as well as representatives from Nishimatsu Construction Co., Ltd., the project developer and constructor; Maki and Associates, the design supervisor; and Index Consulting Inc., which was in charge of project management, among other related parties. The Shinto rituals were solemnly performed.

As part of our residential education and research, this construction project, based on the concept of "learning while living, living while learning," will build residential facilities (student dormitories) and ancillary facilities such as a dining hall. Completion is scheduled for the end of January 2023. The student dormitory will consist of two buildings, the East Wing (tentative name) and the West Wing (tentative name), with a combined capacity for 300 students.
