In cooperation with the Keio University Co-op, we are providing food assistance to support Keio students who are struggling with their daily meals due to the worsening economic situation caused by the spread of COVID-19.
This program targets students who need to cover their tuition and food expenses with their own part-time job income but are facing financial anxiety after losing work opportunities due to business closures or suspensions. We have begun distributing 3,000 yen worth of "food tickets" to selected students, which can be used to purchase food items at the university co-op cafeterias and stores on each campus. While applications for this support have now closed, we are considering accepting additional applications from the fall semester onward.
(Part of the costs for this support measure borne by the university will be covered by the "Subsidy for Measures Against COVID-19" from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO).)
