The 61st Mita Festival was held at the Mita Campus over the four days from Thursday, November 21 through Sunday, November 24.
Mita Festival is one of the largest-scale campus festivals in Japan, attracting around 200,000 visitors annually, and characterized by the fact that it is actively organized and run by current Keio students based on dokuritsu-jison, Keio’s founding spirit of "independence and self-respect." This year, around 400 clubs took part, with achievements showcased by means of research presentations at the seminar rooms, exhibition booths, and guest lectures.
In the Mita Quad where various stalls were arrayed, many visitors could be seen pausing over the elaborate signboards, merrily chatting with the students manning the stalls, or enjoying the various tastes on offer. In addition, many others gathered at the outdoor stages, with the lively performances lending to the vibrant atmosphere on campus.
