I decided to study abroad to experience the country of Japan firsthand with my own eyes. We sometimes get swept away by mainstream opinions, regardless of our own will, and lose sight of each other's true selves. Just as a chick breaks out of its shell into the wider world, I wanted to leave my own world and see and judge a new world for myself.

After coming to Japan, I felt 'something' that could never be expressed through the text in textbooks or videos on the internet. In a sense, it is what is called culture, and it permeates every corner of daily life, making it impossible to explain in a single word. But I feel that I have gradually begun to see the true form of the country called Japan.

The field of law that I chose also served to enrich this realization. Law is not only a set of rules but also a mirror reflecting its society, and it reminded me once again of the self-evident truth that everyone has different ways of thinking about the same thing.

When you leave your home country and become a foreigner, you can see your own country and yourself more objectively. By meeting many people and sharing different ideas, we discover which path to take while feeling a sense of infinite possibilities.

The Keio Faculty of Law brings together brilliant students from all over Japan, each walking toward their own dreams. I have absolutely no regrets about my choice to spend those youthful days on a campus with a view of Tokyo Tower, in the gymnasium where we all enjoyed sports together, and at seminar training camps where we laughed and envisioned our futures.

I can say with confidence that the Keio Faculty of Law will surely be the best guide for you as you search for your own unique path. I wholeheartedly support everyone who is chasing their dreams.
