Lecture Outline:
Analog games have been enjoying a surge in popularity in recent years. Through playing analog games, players can understand the problem structures embedded within the games and their rules, potentially leading to behavioral changes that help them understand and solve real-world problems. Mr. Taichi Matsumoto has independently developed "analog game therapy," a method that uses card and board games to improve the communication skills of individuals with developmental disabilities. He has been implementing this method at therapeutic institutions and employment support agencies. He holds lectures and workshops on these initiatives throughout the country. In this session, Mr. Matsumoto will share his unique ideas through a demonstration of analog games and provide an opportunity to stimulate discussion on how members can utilize analog games according to their interests.
