Brief Description
We will welcome Professor Susan Schreibman from Maastricht University, who leads the international PURE3D project on the use of 3D in the humanities, to give a lecture (morning) and a hands-on workshop (afternoon).
Detailed Description
Professor Susan Schreibman ( S. Schreibman - S. Schreibman - Maastricht University ) of Maastricht University is a renowned researcher in both Irish literature and Digital Humanities (DH). She has undertaken various important roles in the DH field, including serving as an editor of the definitive DH textbook, "A Companion to Digital Humanities" ( https://companions.digitalhumanities.org/DH /) (2005).
In recent years, she has been dedicated to developing the infrastructure for the scholarly use of 3D and leads the international project PURE3D ( https://pure3d.eu/ ). To provide a concrete understanding of PURE3D, she will offer a hands-on workshop in the afternoon in addition to her morning lecture.
The workshop will provide instruction on how to create a 3D scholarly edition using the Smithsonian's 3D annotation tool, Voyager.
