Workshop Outline:
Since the 1960s, Seiji Shimoda has been a leading figure in performance art in Japan. He is invited to art exhibitions abroad more than five times a year and has also held numerous workshops overseas. In Japan, he presides over the Nippon International Performance Art Festival (NIPAF), inviting artists from Asia and Europe to hold the festival several times a year. For this event, he will conduct a workshop on performance art. This is expected to provide a variety of insights through art that uses the body.
