I am majoring in management accounting theory in Professor Eisuke Yoshida's research group. In my undergraduate seminar, I was fascinated by social science research—the process of using the knowledge accumulated by predecessors to scientifically clarify various problems and phenomena in the real world that are not yet understood. This is what led me to advance to graduate school.

Thanks to a blessed environment—including a library and databases where I can access specialized books and academic journals from around the world, small-group seminar classes, fellow graduate students who inspire me through daily discussions, and, above all, my academic advisor who provides me with warm and constant guidance—I am able to dedicate myself to my research every day.

My current research interest lies in the theorization and systematization of superior cost management activities. Since entering graduate school, I have collected quantitative data through methods such as a questionnaire survey of over 100 factory managers and a mail-in survey of over 300 listed companies. In addition, I have visited more than 40 companies to learn about the challenges and creative solutions from practitioners. By analyzing the diverse and vast data collected from the field, based on the theories and prior research of my predecessors, I hope to produce outstanding research results that have a significant impact both academically and practically.

My research life in graduate school, which involves grappling with this vast body of prior research and field data, presents many challenges. However, thanks to the supportive research environment, my days are incredibly stimulating and fulfilling.
