Speaker Profile:
At the age of 14, she moved to Tokyo on her own. She made her debut as Julie in the musical "Annie." After working as a freelancer, she joined the Shiki Theatre Company. After leaving the company, she opened an entertainment school for children from the age of three in her hometown of Kochi Prefecture. She is involved in training the next generation, producing musicals, and making films. In 2019, she established the Japan Citizens' Musical Association, a general incorporated association, and became its representative director. In 2020, she graduated from the Graduate School of Global Arts and Cultural Policy at Aoyama Gakuin University. Her master's thesis is titled "A Study on the Impact of 'Citizen-Participatory' Performing Arts on Citizens: A Case Study of Cosmo Hall in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture."
Lecture Overview:
As shown in the list below, Ms. Kadowaki has been active as a musical actress since she was a child actor and currently leads an organization dedicated to promoting citizen musicals. This time, based on insights from the sociology of emotions, we will explore the unique theatrical expressions of musicals in a workshop format with the participants.
