Lecture Overview:
Since the 1960s, Mr. Shimoda has been a leading figure in Japanese performance art. He is invited to international art exhibitions more than five times a year and has also conducted numerous workshops abroad. In Japan, he directs the Nippon International Performance Art Festival (NIPAF), inviting artists from Asia and Europe to hold several festivals each year. In this event, he will conduct a workshop on performance art. This art form, which uses the body, is expected to provide a variety of new insights.
