Abstract
Over the past decade, numerous projects using crowdsourcing have been launched both in Japan and abroad. Crowdsourcing is a mechanism for accomplishing tasks that require significant human and time resources, such as digitizing materials and entering metadata, by enlisting the help of a large, undefined group of people. This presentation will focus on and explain a specific method known as microtask crowdsourcing, which involves breaking down problems into smaller tasks. It also aims to provide a forum for discussing the application of crowdsourcing in the library domain.
