Lecturer | Matthe Scholten, Institute of Medical Ethics and History of Medicine, Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany |
Lecture Title | Ought Implies Can, Alternate Possibilities, and Asymmetrical Freedom in Kant |
Lecture Abstract | Dr Scholten will be talking about new trends in the theory of moral responsibility and exoneration from a broadly Kantian perspective. This topic is not only important from a theoretical point of view, but has many implications for applied ethics as well. The lecture is an excellent opportunity for our students to learn about these important fields. |
