Admissions Information Session for the Graduate School of Letters (Arts Management Program)

We are pleased to announce that an admissions information session for the 2018 academic year for the Keio University Graduate School of Letters (Arts Management Program) will be held as follows.

In 1991, Keio University was one of the first universities in Japan to establish an Arts Management course within its Faculty of Letters. In 2005, it established the Arts Management Program within the Aesthetics and Art History Major of the Graduate School of Letters. The Arts Management Program at Keio's graduate school is a master's program for working professionals with practical experience. It is a course aimed at acquiring the knowledge in various fields, pioneering skills, and professional training required for Arts Management/Arts Administration. Classes are held mainly on weekday evenings and Saturdays, with a curriculum that allows students to study while remaining employed.

We encourage attendance from those involved in the management and governance of artistic organizations and cultural facilities; those in management positions or on the board of directors of such organizations who wish to further refine their management skills; government employees involved with arts and culture as part of their duties; those who wish to pursue a career in Arts Management in the future; artists who want to acquire business knowledge; and those who want to research non-profit or artistic organizations such as foundations, associations, and NPOs. We invite you to consider studying at the Keio University Graduate School's Arts Management Program and to join our admissions information session.

At the venue, individual consultations will be available on various topics, including the content of the Arts Management field, the curriculum, the entrance examination, and your areas of interest, research questions, and research topics. You can explain your research topic verbally, but we can provide more detailed advice if you bring a research proposal.

Walk-ins are welcome, but for venue preparation purposes, we would appreciate it if you could contact us by email in advance. Additionally, if you let us know your topics of interest or any questions beforehand, we will do our best to prepare answers for you.
