Mita Philosophical Society Lecture: "Theater Workshop"

"Through our workshop activities, we at Engeki Hyakkaten hope to provide a space for children to share the joy of self-expression, communication, and creation. While we have each been active in the field of artistic expression, primarily in theater, we have also conducted workshop-style projects in venues such as theaters, schools, and children's centers. And in these activities, we have witnessed the process by which interactive and participatory performing arts activities help children, especially those who struggle with interpersonal relationships, to open up." In this lecture, Mr. Kashiwagi, the director of Engeki Hyakkaten, will conduct a theater expression workshop with participants. This is an opportunity to explore how to construct embodied knowledge and to find a direction for doing so.
