Overview
Based on the actual situation of public libraries in the UK, the US, and other countries observed during a year of study abroad last year, this report will cover current conditions such as legal systems, division of roles between governments, securing financial resources, governance mechanisms, consortia, and staff qualification and certification systems. Through this, we aim to examine where public libraries in various countries are headed and gain implications for public libraries in Japan.
