Faculty of Letters, Major in Philosophy
In the Major in Philosophy, we examine everything from trivial everyday questions to fundamental inquiries such as, "What is truth?" In class, you can study the history of philosophy from ancient Greece to the present day and cultivate your logical thinking skills. The appeal of this major is meeting philosophical peers with whom you can discuss issues you might not be able to talk about with other friends. The experience of thoroughly exploring a single topic through deep dialogue with peers who share the same questions builds a foundation for thinking that can be applied in various fields.
