Society of Commerce

Purpose of the Society

The purpose of this society is to encourage and promote research and investigation into industry and the economy in a broad sense, including business and commerce, to contribute to the mutual enlightenment of its members and the students of Keio University's Faculty of Business and Commerce and Graduate School of Business and Commerce, and to further contribute to the development of academic, industrial, and socio-cultural fields both domestically and internationally.

This association conducts (1) publishing, (2) reporting sessions, (3) grant programs, and other activities.

Publication of Periodicals

The Society publishes Mita Business Review (six issues per year), Keio Business Review (published irregularly), and the Mita Business Review Student Paper Series (one issue per year) as periodicals.

Mita Shogaku Kenkyu

The purpose of this society is to encourage and promote research and studies in a wide range of industrial and economic fields, including commerce. It also aims to contribute to the intellectual development of its members and the students of Keio University University's Faculty of Business and Commerce, and to further the advancement of academic societies, industry, and culture, both domestically and internationally.

Keio Business Review

Keio Business Review is an English-language academic journal published by this society. With the aim of disseminating and preserving knowledge, it contains articles, research notes, materials, book reviews, and other works written by members of the Society of Business and Commerce, Keio University, graduate students, and others.

Student Paper Collection

The "Mita Business Review Student Paper Collection" is a Japanese-language academic journal published for the purpose of honoring particularly outstanding student papers written by students of the Faculty of Business and Commerce or students belonging to seminars in the Faculty of Business and Commerce as recipients of the "Society of Business and Commerce Award (Mita Business Review)."

Membership Information

You can join the Society as a special member. A special member is defined as an individual approved by the Committee of the Society of Commerce who falls into one of the following categories: those who have completed the master's program in Graduate School of Business and Commerce at the Graduate School of Juku University; Doctoral Programs those who have withdrawn from a program after earning the required credits; graduates of other graduate schools at Juku University; graduates of other universities' graduate programs; faculty members of other universities; or invited or visiting faculty in Graduate School of Business and Commerce at Juku University. After joining, members are required to pay a prescribed membership fee and will acquire the following rights.

  3. Other Activities Organized by the Society of Commerce
