Accounting Research and Education Center
To become a certified public accountant, you must pass the Certified Public Accountant Examination conducted by the Certified Public Accountants and Auditing Oversight Board of Japan’s Financial Services Agency, have two years of work experience, take supplementary practical training, and pass the final examination conducted by the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants. To become a certified tax accountant, you must pass the National Tax Examination administered by the National Tax Council of Japan’s National Tax Agency (usually available to third-year university students) and have at least two years of work experience.
As part of the Faculty of Business and Commerce, the Accounting Research and Education Center plans and hosts many instructive events, including orientations, lectures, and visits to auditing firms, for students interested in becoming accounting professionals (certified public accountants [CPAs] and certified tax accountants).
Message from the Director
As part of the Faculty of Business and Commerce, the Accounting Research and Education Center plans and implements various educational events, mainly for students interested in becoming accounting professionals such as certified public accountants (CPAs) and certified tax accountants. Other events are open to all students, regardless of faculty or year, including CPA system briefings, lectures and symposiums, audit firm tours, and tax accountant firm briefings.
Society for Commerce
The Business Administration Society, which brings together research from the Faculty of Commerce, publishes various research papers and publications with the aim of understanding contemporary global industrial society through theory and empirical research, and gaining insights into methods of progress and transformation.
