Seminar Introduction

Seminars are small classes where faculty members in charge of specialized courses provide guidance in their respective fields of expertise. As a general rule, students study under the same faculty member for two years and write a thesis for graduation. In addition to reading and discussing literature and giving research presentations in the classroom, some seminars also conduct off-campus research and retreats. Among the "three pillars" of the specialized course curriculum at Mita—Seminars, PCP, and Research Projects—seminars have the longest tradition. The logical thinking skills and expressive abilities honed over two years, as well as the connections forged with senior and junior students and peers, will be valuable assets in the future.

Faculty of Economics Seminar Committee is a student organization composed of all students belonging to the seminars in the Faculty of Economics at Keio University. It provides various information about the seminars.
