Because of my inquisitive nature, I was looking for a university where I could gain diverse learning opportunities. I felt that SFC, which I discovered during my search, was the ideal place for me because it provides an environment where I can explore new areas whenever my interests expand, rather than being limited to studying a single field.

The greatest attraction is the highly flexible learning style. With few required subjects and the ability to take classes across various fields, each student can design their learning according to their own interests. It is possible to start by acquiring a broad range of knowledge and eventually lead into learning that delves deeply into cutting-edge themes and specialized fields.

One of the features of SFC is that students can join a seminar (Kenkyukai) from their first year. I belong to a seminar that considers space-making from the perspective of "communication." This seminar values practical learning through fieldwork. The process of physically visiting sites, and deepening my awareness, discovery, and understanding through observation, is very refreshing, and I feel my perspective is constantly broadening.

Another undeniable charm is the aspect of it being like a warm community. After the seminar, we take turns cooking meals and have time to talk while gathered around the dining table. These casual moments have become precious times that remain in my heart as much as the learning itself.

For extracurricular activities, I am focusing on volunteer work at children's homes. Specifically, every time an exchange event is held, I prepare recreational activities that incorporate educational elements with a lot of ingenuity. I also challenged myself with fundraising activities as an individual and was able to collect activity funds with the cooperation of many people.

Through this activity, I gained the opportunity to learn deeply about the current situation of child abuse and social care. At the same time, meeting kind-hearted and enthusiastic volunteer crews was a great inspiration, and I feel it was a valuable experience to gain a real sense that I am making some kind of contribution to society.

At SFC, there are many students with strong wills who are taking on various challenges. There is an environment where I can expand my potential while being inspired by such peers and working hard together every day. It is a place where you can cultivate the power to think and act for yourself and open up the future.

After graduation, I have a goal to "create something that enriches people's lives." Toward realizing that, I want to consider my career path while pursuing my interests. I am convinced that my experiences at SFC will be a lifelong asset. I want everyone to feel that conviction for themselves after passing the entrance exam. I am rooting for you from the bottom of my heart.
