AO Screenings for the Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies

Applicants outside Japan are highly recommended to apply to Winter AO because:

1. there's no need to travel to Japan for the screening*, and

2. there are scholarship opportunities exclusively for Winter AO applicants.

*Applications for Spring, Summer, or Fall AO screenings require an in-person interview in Japan on a designated date.

*The Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies do not accept transfer students.

The following information pertains to Spring AO and Summer/Fall AO screenings, which include interviews held in Japan. Please note that these screenings can also be conducted entirely in English.  

We are providing information regarding important updates to the AO screenings to be conducted in the 2026 academic year and subsequent years.
