This project was carried out in cooperation with Hirosaki City, one of the largest apple production areas in Japan. The project aimed to create a system that can contribute to a worker’s early acquisition of cultivation techniques and improvement of evaluative skills, which are important for the stable production of high-quality apples. To achieve this, the initiative conducted R&D in technology such as a fruit-thinning support application that utilizes AI and using VR to help with apple tree pruning.
