Collaboration with Minamiaso Village, Kumamoto Prefecture

Minamiaso Village, the Kumamoto Prefecture Livestock Agricultural Cooperative Association, KMD, and other partners have cooperated to restore grasslands as well as promote sustainable production and expand sales channels for akaushi (Japanese Brown) cattle farming. Throughout AY 2025, the collaboration partners continued to support production by facilitating custom feeding arrangements and expand sales channels by engaging restaurants in urban areas and buyers in overseas markets. Other projects were also planned and tested in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to increase the added value of local agricultural and livestock products, including advance purchasing, freshness preservation, and distribution technologies.
