Web Accessibility Policy

1. Basic Concept

Keio University (hereinafter referred to as "the University") aims to realize a website that is easy to use and allows everyone to access information fairly, regardless of age or physical or mental disabilities. We strive to actively disclose information regarding the University's acceptance policies and campus barrier-free status for students with disabilities and those wishing to enroll at the University.

To achieve this, we will strive to produce and operate our website based on JIS X 8341-3:2016 "Guidelines for older persons and persons with disabilities - Information and communications equipment, software and services - Part 3: Web content," which is the Japanese Industrial Standard for web accessibility.

2. Scope

This policy applies to web pages under the Keio University official website (https://www.keio.ac.jp/) domain.

However, the following content is excluded from this policy for operational reasons.

  • Images and document files such as PDF, Excel, and Word

  • Content using external services such as YouTube

Regarding excluded content, we will strive to accommodate requests to the extent possible. If providing information is difficult, we will provide guidance through alternative means such as telephone or email, so please contact the inquiry desk below.

3. Target Compliance Level

The goal is to comply with Level AA of JIS X 8341-3:2016.

Note: "Compliance" in this policy is based on the notation defined in the "JIS X 8341-3:2016 Compliance Notation Guidelines for Web Content" by the Web Accessibility Infrastructure Committee of the Info-communication Access Council.

The University will continuously implement the following initiatives to ensure and improve web accessibility.
