Facilities and Equipment
This section introduces the facilities and equipment of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Graduate School of Science and Technology, including the Media Center for Science and Technology, the Science and Technology KIC, and the Technology Support Office.
(1) Education and Research Facilities
Central Service Facilities for Science and Technology Research
A facility for the centralized management of equipment and large-scale analytical instruments for research and education.
Opening Hours
Weekdays 9:00 - 21:00
*Closed on weekends and public holidays. Any changes will be announced on the "Central Service Facilities for Science and Technology Research Website" as appropriate.
Eligible Users
Full-time faculty members, staff, and Keio students who are permitted to enter the campus.
*Some equipment is available for use by individuals from corporations and other research institutions. For details, please check here.
Application Procedures
First-time users should contact the administrative office on the 1st floor of Building 36. Please apply in advance via the reservation system SimpRent before use.
Manufacturing Center
A machine shop based on the 1st floor of Building 34, equipped with various machine tools primarily for processing metal materials. It supports experiments and practical training for the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of System Design Engineering, as well as the production of experimental devices and test specimens required for graduation and master's thesis research within the Faculty of Science and Technology.

*Staff are unavailable from 11:30 to 12:30 due to lunch break.

4th-year students and above in the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Yagami Innovation Laboratory (YIL)
Located in front of Building 36 (Central Service Facilities for Science and Technology Research), this is one of the bases for realizing Keio University's vision of being a "research university that creates the common sense of the future." It is an open innovation facility where faculty, staff, students, and corporate personnel connect to share the scientific and technological knowledge generated by Keio University across disciplines with society at large, aiming for human resource development through industry-academia collaboration, solving social issues, and creating new industries.

(6:00 - 8:00 and 20:00 - 22:00 are for Keio University ID holders only)
Media Center for Science and Technology
This is the science and technology library, also known as the "Matsushita Memorial Library" because it was built with the cooperation of Mr. Konosuke Matsushita. In addition to the active introduction of electronic academic materials, it focuses on improving the learning environment by providing self-study rooms available at night, spacious and bright study areas, casual group study rooms, and support services provided by graduate student staff.

Eligible Users
Undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty and staff, Professors Emeriti/retirees, Keio University alumni, and researchers in the fields of science and technology affiliated with domestic or international universities and research institutions.
Science and Technology KIC
A facility responsible for the information infrastructure and IT services in the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Graduate School of Science and Technology. It provides IT platform construction, operation, and management, as well as workstation rooms.

Various applications and usage consultations for Keio IDs, ITC accounts, software licenses, etc.
We accept IT-related inquiries via the "IT Inquiry Form."
Workstation Room Usage Hours
First, please be sure to check the schedule on the Science and Technology KIC website.
The rooms are free to use during times when no classes or exams are being held.
Large Format Printing Service (Provided at Keio Co-op Yagami Store from FY2026)
The large format printing service previously provided by Science and Technology KIC has been transferred to the Keio Co-op Yagami Store. Please check the Co-op website for changes to the service details.
Health Center
The purpose is to conduct medical research for the maintenance and promotion of health, perform specialized tasks related to health and hygiene education for students (hereinafter "Keio students, etc.") of the university and affiliated schools established by Keio University, and manage the health of the entire Keio University, thereby promoting the health of Keio students, etc., and Keio University faculty and staff.

Please check "About the Consultation Schedule" for the latest information. Except in emergencies, please contact us by phone to report your symptoms before visiting.
When Closed
Please use medical institutions around Hiyoshi Station. For referrals to medical institutions in Yokohama City that are available (24 hours a day, 365 days a year), please contact the Yokohama City Emergency Medical Information Center (TEL: 045-232-7119).
Notifications
If you contract a school infectious disease, please report it via the "Notification when contracting an infectious disease that should be prevented at school."

Environmental Preservation Center
The center manages, operates, and provides guidance on safety, the environment, chemical substances, high-pressure gas, and waste related to the education, research, and experimental environments.

When meeting rooms or classrooms are used by a laboratory unit, the presence of the laboratory supervisor is not mandatory.
