On Saturday, June 15, 2024, a Homecoming Day was held. We welcomed back alumni celebrating the 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, and 50th anniversaries of their graduation or completion of studies from the Faculty of Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, and Graduate School of Science and Technology. The event included a report on the current status of the Faculty and Graduate School of Science and Technology, a reception, and a tour of the educational and research facilities on the Yagami Campus.

On the day of the event, approximately 300 alumni and their families gathered at the Yagami Campus. Following a welcome address by Dean Toshiyuki Murakami, Mr. Tsunemasa Tanaka, Vice President of the Faculty of Science and Technology Alumni Association, gave an insightful lecture based on his life experiences. Afterward, Public Relations Committee Chair Tomoharu Oka used data to explain the current initiatives and future direction of the Faculty and Graduate School of Science and Technology. After the closing remarks by Dean of the Graduate School of Science and Technology Toshiharu Saiki, the venue was moved for a reception. The event concluded on a high note with all participants singing "Wakaki-chi" together.

During the open tour, many alumni also visited facilities such as the Manufacturing Center, the Central Service Facilities for Science and Technology Research, the Technology Center, and the Media Center. Throughout the campus, many were seen expressing surprise and nostalgia at the changes from their student days, and warmly reconnecting with friends they had not seen in a long time.
