An information session will be held regarding The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) Japan. Anyone interested in overseas internships is encouraged to attend.
IAESTE is an international non-governmental organization that promotes overseas internships in a wide range of specialized fields, primarily in science and engineering, but also including business administration and marketing. Founded in the UK in 1948 with the aim of training engineers with a broad international perspective, it has continued its activities mainly in Europe. Over 80 countries are members, and to date, it has facilitated the exchange of approximately 350,000 students. (All training is conducted in English. This is an internship program where students apply the specialized knowledge they are currently learning or have already learned at university to practical training in overseas laboratories or companies. It is not a study abroad program for the purpose of learning English or a new specialized field.)
This information session will cover the features of the IAESTE overseas internship, the process from application to completion of the training, participation fees, and eligibility requirements. You will also have the opportunity to hear reports from past participants who have completed the training.
If you are interested in working abroad, want to utilize your specialized field in a job, or would like to take on the challenge of overseas training, we encourage you to join us!
