Insurance (Gakkensai / Gakkenbai)

At this Juku, all undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled in the Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (abbreviated as "Gakkensai") as a compensation measure for unforeseen accidents during educational and research activities both in Japan and abroad. Illnesses are not covered by this insurance. For regular curriculum activities (including online), the submission of a "Notification of Off-campus Research and Academic Conference Activities" is required, and for extracurricular activities, the submission of a "Notification of Off-campus Student Activities" is a condition for insurance coverage.

Insurance benefits are paid for damages incurred when a student (the insured) bears legal liability for damages due to injuring others or damaging others' property during regular curriculum activities, school events, extracurricular activities, or while commuting to and from these activities, both in Japan and abroad. All regular students enrolled at the Yagami Campus are covered by this insurance. For regular curriculum activities (including online), the submission of a "Notification of Off-campus Research and Academic Conference Activities" is required, and for extracurricular activities, the submission of a "Notification of Off-campus Student Activities" is a condition for insurance coverage.

Students who wish to have a certificate of enrollment for Gakkensai/Gakkenbai issued should apply using the form below. Certificates cannot be issued for internships or other activities that do not involve course credit, as they are not covered by the insurance.
