How to Complete the Bicycle Parking Registration Procedures
Registration is required to use the bicycle parking area at Yagami Campus. Please review the items below and complete the registration procedures at the main reception of the Office of Student Services, located on the first floor of Building 25.
Note: Registration is limited to students enrolled in the Faculty of Science and Technology or the Graduate School of Science and Technology.
Required Items for Registration
Registration fee: 500 yen
Bicycle: Anti-theft registration number. Motorcycle: License plate number and vehicle identification number.
Registration is valid only for the current academic year.
Bicycles and motorcycles without the current academic year's registration sticker will be considered illegally parked and will be removed and disposed of accordingly.
Once your registration is complete, you will be issued a parking sticker. Please affix it to your registered bicycle or motorcycle.
Only one bicycle or motorcycle may be registered per person. However, if you are replacing your vehicle, you will be permitted to complete a new registration.
Important Notes
Always park in a bicycle rack or a designated motorcycle space. Bicycles and motorcycles found in passageways will be considered illegally parked and will be removed and disposed of.
When using the bicycle parking area, please be considerate of other users to avoid any trouble.
Parking bicycles and motorcycles outside of designated areas on campus is prohibited.
The university is not responsible for vandalism or theft of bicycles and motorcycles in the parking areas. Please take the necessary precautions yourself.
Please ride safely and be careful to avoid any accidents when commuting.
Riding under the influence of alcohol is a crime.
Bicycles and motorcycles must not be abandoned on campus. Do not leave them in the parking areas for extended periods, especially when you are away from the university for a long time, such as during school breaks. Any vehicles found abandoned for a prolonged period will be removed and disposed of.
In the event of fraudulent activity, such as allowing another person to use your registration, or failure to comply with the above regulations, your right to use the parking area will be immediately revoked.
Thefts have occurred. Please take personal responsibility for securing your belongings, including locking your vehicle.
Whether on or off campus, refrain from illegal parking and ride your bicycle or motorcycle in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Road Traffic Act.
In addition, Keio students are prohibited from bringing vehicles onto campus, except in the cases specified here.
