Yagami Award

This section introduces the Yagami Award, which is presented to alumni of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Graduate School of Science and Technology who have made outstanding contributions at the forefront of society.

About the Yagami Award

The Yagami Award is presented to alumni who have made outstanding contributions at the forefront of society. The award ceremony and lecture will be held again this year. The lecture, in particular, is a valuable opportunity to hear about the recipients' activities during their time at the university and their careers after graduation. It will serve as an inspiration and a guide for students of the Faculty of Science and Technology as they consider their future careers and work to make their dreams a reality.

About the Alumni Association Fund for the Promotion of Research and Education

The fund was established with donations from the 2000 Faculty of Science and Technology commemorative fundraising campaign, conducted by the Faculty of Science and Technology Alumni Association as part of the 60th anniversary project of the founding of the Fujiwara Institute of Technology, the predecessor of the faculty. Each year, the Yagami Award is presented to approximately five alumni of the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Graduate School of Engineering, and the Graduate School of Science and Technology who have made outstanding contributions to society after graduation, and a lecture is held by the recipients.
