Changing the World through Physics and Mathematics
The movement to understand complex natural, biological, and material systems through informatics is gaining traction. In actuality, however, the information that has been extracted from a variety of physical phenomena remains insufficient for practical application in engineering. The Curriculum of Applied Physics and Physico-Informatics uses physics as a foundation to develop innovative measurement and information-processing technologies. By integrating mathematical methodologiesーsuch as analysis and modelingーwe apply these to design and develop functional materials and devices, bioengineering systems, etc.
