Doi Laboratory - Evolving Proteins for Biopharmaceuticals and Other Applications

At the Doi Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University, we study how today's proteins, with their diverse and advanced functions, have evolved over the 4 billion years since the origin of life. Through this research, we learn their construction principles and apply this knowledge, aiming to create new proteins useful in the fields of medicine, the environment, and energy.
