Eto Laboratory - Unraveling the Condensed Matter Physics of the Nano-World and Aiming for Applications of Quantum Dots

The Eto Laboratory at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University, is conducting research in condensed matter physics to elucidate the various phenomena exhibited by materials such as metals, semiconductors, magnetic materials, and superconductors.

In particular, the Eto Laboratory is focusing on the new physical phenomena that emerge when semiconductors are microfabricated down to the nanometer scale.

The nano-world is located between the micro-world of atoms and molecules (0.1 nm) and the macro-world of our daily lives (1 m), and is called the mesoscopic system.
