Surface Chemistry Laboratory (Professor Yasuaki Einaga) - Creating Functional Materials for the Near Future

The Einaga Laboratory is conducting research primarily on "materials whose magnetism can be controlled by light" and "diamonds as sensors."

"Light energy" is extremely important for the development of future high-speed, high-density devices because it enables dramatically faster switching, recording, and other functions.

For example, if we can create a material whose magnetism can be reversibly controlled by light irradiation, it holds promise as an unprecedented, next-generation recording material with ultra-high speed and high density.
