"Exploring the World of Integers and the Mathematical Natural World"

The Kurihara Laboratory at the Department of Mathematics, Keio University, conducts research in number theory. Number theory is a field of study with a history of over 4,000 years, and it remains an active area of research today. In recent years, it has been applied to areas such as cryptography and coding theory, and with proofs of Fermat's Last Theorem and Iwasawa's main conjecture, it continues to be a vital field where new results are obtained daily.
