Onoue Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering: Pioneering the Future of Medicine with Microfabrication!

The Onoue Laboratory researches the technology for creating microscopic machines known as micromachines.

Processing materials such as jelly (hydrogel), cells, and even finer molecules makes it possible to create materials once thought impossible, enabling dramatic advances in medicine. Professor Hiroaki Onoue clearly explains how microfabrication technology can be applied to regenerative medicine to realize a future where life-threatening diseases like cancer and myocardial infarction can be overcome.
