Takano Laboratory - Aiming to Improve Lives through Measurement in Microscopic Regions

At the Takano Laboratory (Department of Mechanical Engineering, Keio University), we are developing computational and simulation technologies for microscopic regions that are otherwise impossible to measure.

We apply the computational techniques cultivated through many years of research in micromechanics and multiscale simulations to a wide range of fields, such as biomechanics, the development of advanced materials, and the design of micromachines. One such research area is our medical-engineering collaborative research on bone.

By measuring the loads on bones and teeth through simulation, we contribute to the medical field.
