Pre-KEIO TECHNO-MALL 2021 Seminar Series (Part 5): Development of Industry-Academia and Medical-Engineering Collaboration through the Formation of a Co-creation Hub at Keio University

Keio University was selected for the Program on Open Innovation Platform for Industry-Academia Co-creation (COI-NEXT) by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). It has established the Health Commons Center and aims to: 1. build a social system design that realizes well-being; 2. develop a science knowledge and data platform for co-creating well-being; and 3. realize personalized medical, healthcare, and nursing care. In this seminar, Project Leader Masaya Nakamura (Vice Dean of the School of Medicine in charge of Industry-Academia Collaboration and Innovation) gave a lecture on the concept of this center. In the subsequent panel discussion, he was joined by sub-leader Yasue Mitsukura (Professor, Faculty of Science and Technology) and Ryota Yoshimoto (Project Professor, Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship) to discuss the medical-engineering and industry-academia collaboration promoted at this center.
