Hello! I'm Saito, an Assistant Professor (fixed-term, for research encouragement).

In this video, I introduce my life in the Doctoral Programs and my research in my specialty, mathematics.

When you hear the term "mathematical research," can you imagine what it entails?

Ever since I was in high school, I had a vague desire to become a mathematician, but at the time, I couldn't imagine what mathematical research involved. I used to wonder, "How is it even possible to prove a new theorem?"

In the video, I have tried to talk about my own research in a way that will hopefully answer some of those questions.
