Following the enforcement of the Act on Promotion of Measures Against Loneliness and Isolation in April 2024, interest in preventing social isolation and loneliness has been growing. Isolation and loneliness often arise from a complex interplay of various factors, and there is no definitive solution that can be implemented to solve the problem. So, what can be done? This session will report on the actual efforts to prevent social isolation and loneliness through Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) in the Zengyo Danchi, which began in fiscal year 2023.

The experience of restrictions and divisions in human interaction during the COVID-19 pandemic is still fresh in our minds, but is there anything we can learn from that experience? In this lecture, we will consider "social connections" from the perspective of community welfare, while introducing the results of surveys conducted in collaboration with Fujisawa City targeting communities and community activity groups, as well as community activities carried out in cooperation with multiple groups within the city.
Sessions 2 and 3 will be held concurrently with the SFC EXPO. Please be sure to stop by.
Various events, including SFC's largest research presentation event, the "Open Research Forum," as well as the "Open Campus" and "Fujisawa Citizen Lecture," will come together under the banner of the EXPO.
You can see the "universal learning" of SFC, which practices diverse research fields.
